What does it take to be an ICT student?
Gaining knowledge and intelligence are the main goals of an individual in attending classes. Being an ICT IV student is far than I’ve expected before, I’ve learned a lot and I can say that I changed for better in this subject.
ICT is an acronym that stands for Information Communications Tecnology. ICT covers any product that will store, retrieve, manipulate, transmit or receive information electronically in a digital form Since a student’s performance is mainly explained by a student’s characteristics, educational environment and teachers’ characteristics, ICT may have an impact on these determinants and consequently the outcome of education. The differences observed in students’ performance are thus more related to the differentiated impact of ICT on standard explanatory factors.
First quarter- we started making and working on our bloggers I also experienced being a leader for the first time. Second quarter- in this quarter is more exciting than the past because we focused on tags. We used the notepad for our hands–on activities. We knew about the two types of tags, the stand-alone tag and the container tag. In applying each tag, we should be very careful so that the effect we wanted to see in our text would be powerful. I enjoyed our hands-on activities because I know that I did all the activities given to us with all my effort and thank God I finished all of them on time. Third quarter- This quarter is more exciting than the two previous gradings because we made our web design and this served as our project. In making our web design, I will never forget the bonding with my groupmates because before we have finished our project, we wander at Vigan City to discover the different things which are related to entrepreneurship because that was the topic which was assigned to us. It was very fun to be with them. In doing our web design, we were not hard-up for it was just like doing our hands-on activities. John was the one who primary person who made that. We also faced some problems in our scrapbook, my classmate problems regarding it but we solved it fast. Not only knowledge which I treasure for this subject but also to the discipline it gave me as the leader of our group.
I planted hard work and focus on the things we’ve tackled throughout the school year. I thank John in teaching me how to do our activities and in helping me on how to improve my hands- on activities. Now, I’m going to leave my high school life with the knowledge which this school has given me on using computer starting from the most basic to the most complicated things I’ve learned in using computer.

I can!!!(My Deam, My Future)
I have a dream, a dream which lightens up my path towards a brighter future.
I have undergone many challenges of being a student. I am just a simple student today but have a big dream of becoming a successful civil engineer someday. I know it’s hard to reach it but I have my hard work and perseverance as my tools. After leaving elementary life, where I have learned the most basic things in life, high school life embraced us with open arms. I have met new friends and created memories together with them, the ones who accompany me through sadness and happiness, the teachers who completed our high life by sharing their precious knowledge to us, students. Now, I’ll soon leave high school life carrying the name of Ilocos Sur National High School with the knowledge and wisdom which this school has given me. I assume college life would be different, new faces to meet and new surrounding to adjust to, it will be difficult for me to do it but I know if I’ll survive the college life I would be able to bring out the sweetest and best smile on my beloved parents’ lips. Learning’s from elementary to high school, from the most basic to the most complicated things will be combining here so I must exert my full effort to pursue on my dream.
I know I can do it for my inspirations are always here in my heart which gives me strength and courage in every challenge that I encounter. I will focus on the things which inspire me and I will treat problems as challenges that God gives me to bring out the best in me. I would study hard because only education is the only thing which my parents would be able to give that anyone can’t steal.

KANNAWIDAN: The Ylocos Activity
Kannawidan is a festivity which the City of Vigan celebrates every year. In this festival, the Ilocano people showcase cultural shows, native products and the talents of the Ilocanos.
Kannawidan Ylocos Festival became an annual festival that aims to create awareness on the preservation of the province' rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions, and a showcase of the different agriculture and industry products of the province. There is a need to preserve our rich heritage and unique culture. With this in mind, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur has conceived a festival that highlights these culture and traditions and attract local and foreign tourists as well. This festival is very significant to every resident in the province as they are celebrating the foundation of Ilocos Sur as a province by virtue of the Royal Decree signed on February 2, 1818.
Ilocos Sur especially Vigan is branded as the Heart of Ilocandia by the Philippine Historical Committee. It’s a province very rich in culture and heritage. Kannawidan means traditions and this province got to showcase all what she has. On January 31 to February 6, 2011 several activities were lined up for the celebration.
There was the tribal performance of the cultural communities of Ilocos Sur which is so fascinating. They displayed their talents as well as their indigenous costumes. Refection(Third Grading)
The third and the second to the last one reflection that has to be done by me…
This quarter is more exciting than the two previous gradings because we made our web design and this served as our project. We also faced some problems in our scrapbook, my classmate, Tatus who was our photographer went to Pangasinan and we didn’t develop the pictures that’s why we just passed it without pictures, one time our teacher saw our project and told us about it, we asked permission to her if we could put pictures on it even though it was late already then she agreed, and I thank God for it. We resolved our problems regarding it.
On the cleaning matter, my group mates were all responsible and cooperative when our time comes in cleaning the computer room. No one created bad record this time. I hope that they will not change their attitudes as time passes by. I, as a leader will always be a good follower of them and I am very happy that I have I new partner in group 3 that is Jessica Posedio.
This grading, I understood more about our lessons given to us this quarter that’s why I’ll not forget about tags for me to apply in my future needs. I would strive harder this time and reach greater heights.

New Year, New Me!!!
Before the year ends, people think about the things they want to change in their lives for better and serve as their new year’s resolution.
New Year, new me… I don’t have any new year’s resolution for I know it will just last for about a week or a month then I’ll just forget about it; my resolution goes that way every year. Now, 2012 cam, I will not promise anything in WORDS this time but instead, I will do it in action by my own as the saying goes’ “action speaks louder than words”. It is hard to promise something that you could not do. If I’ll promise myself to do something this year and can not grant it, I will just cheat myself because of it and make myself a liar. Trying is different from promising, that’s why I’ll just try my best to gain more friends and be good to them as much as I can. I’ll try to be more patient and understanding to my siblings and friends to avoid misunderstanding between us. I’ll try to be better and more obedient to my dear parents. I’ll try to be more serious on my studies and most of all I’ll try not to absent on worshiping God to thank Him for all the blessings He’ve been giving my family throughout these years.
Every ending has its new beginning, now it’s two-zero-one-two.so, we must live happily and be contented so there will be peace on Earth… Let’s make a CHANGE for BETTER.

Keeping In Mind Our Mother Language
Every person has a language he used to speak and this serves as an identity on what part of the country he's living. The first language that a person learns and the language used in that person's home country- mother tongue.
Philippines have 7107 scattered islands and composed of different tribes who are living here and it was divided into 16 regions where in every region has its own dialect. Many skills acquired in the first language can be transferred to the second language. So, for example, if we have developed good reading skills in Ilocano, we are likely to be able to apply these skills when reading English. For some students, developing mother tongue proficiency is easier because they have lessons each week in their native language. For students who are not in this fortunate position, there is still much that can be done to maintain the mother tongue. For example, parents can make sure that they have good reference books or textbooks at home - in the native language. Students should be encouraged to read good literature and to discuss school work. Some of the long summer vacation could be devoted to mother-tongue learning and reading.
A revival of interest to using a mother tongue is stipulated by necessity to improve language accuracy, fluency and clarity. Our mother should be keep in mind by us in order to have unity in the place where we belong.

It's Christmas Again!!!
Cold breeze lingers on my skin. Christmas tree, Christmas lights, and Christmas decorations in every home. “Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way…” The carolers sing! Oh! I could feel it, it’s Christmas again.
Christmas, the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. It is the happiest season of the year. Exchanging gifts and cards, giving ‘Aguinaldos’ to the carolers and to the children but it’s not the material things which matter, it’s the joy they bring to the people whom they share their blessings with. Christmas is the time of the year, it is the time of giving/ sharing, loving, forgiving and forgetting everyone’s sin to us as Jesus Forgives our sins, these are the things which couldn’t be touch but could be feel by our hearts and these makes-up the true essence of Christmas. In the midst of the celebration of the Noche Buena, there are people who just prepare simple one. Just to feel the essence of Christmas and to thank God for all the blessings He’ve been showering us in our everyday lives.
We should be touch by the true meaning of Christmas, not just by the gifts we receive but for the happiness, joy and love that can be felt by our hearts.
